financial policies
Investment in orthodontics is an investment in one's future. It has many benefits that can last the rest of one's life; improved self-esteem, improved social acceptance, more attractive smile and appearance, better oral hygiene, better jaw functioning, better long-term health of the gingiva and bones, less wearing down of the teeth, etc. So we strive to work with our patient's to try to make this investment possible for everyone wanting to improve their smile.
The actual cost of treatment depends on the severity of the orthodontic problems. The length of treatment, type of appliances required, and type of braces selected all contribute to the overall treatment fee.
You will be able to discuss fees and payment options before treatment begins. We offer several payment plans to suit different budgets, including a no-down-payment option. We accept assignment from most insurance plans, and we will file the necessary papers to the insurance company. Most credit cards are accepted.
Fees
In an effort to keep orthodontic fees down while maintaining the highest level of professional care, we offer the following financial options for your convenience:
- If full payment is made at the onset of treatment, we will offer a courtesy discount. (If you have insurance, we will offer a discount for payment of your portion of the fee that will not be covered by insurance.)
- No-down payment option with approved credit (Capital One Healthcare).
- To fit your individual needs, financial arrangements can be made to extend your payments over the course of treatment.
- We accept most credit cards.
- For your convenience, we can set up automatic credit card withdrawal.
- You can make secure online payments through the website.
Insurance
If you have insurance, we are happy to work together with you and your insurance company to make sure you receive the maximum benefit possible under your individual policy. We will verify the amount of your insurance benefits prior to initiation of treatment. When the amount of the benefit is determined, we will submit claims to your insurance carrier for payment and accept assignment of those benefits. Then, we can work with you to structure a payment plan that fits your budget for the remaining balance. Any unpaid insurance balance will be the financially responsible party's obligation. Professional care is provided to you, our patient, and we will help in every way we can in filing your claim and handling insurance questions from our office on your behalf.
